Most people in the Netherlands use the rest of the New Year's day to recover from parties they have been, but there are also a lot of people who will attend a polar bear plunge on one of the beaches. The most famous one is the Unox Nieuwjaarsduik in beach resort town Scheveningen. 10.000 people dived collectively in the sea to celebrate 2017. And it was a cold one, because the chill temperature was below 0 degrees. The Dutch Photographers Rutger Geerling, Kevin Verkruijssen, Heidie Duteweert, Joey Timmer and Albert van Leeuwen were in Scheveningen to document this edition.
