Dutch photographer Jur Veninga lives in Spain and he visited the abandoned mines of Tharsis in Huelva, Spain. Once the most profitable copper mine in the world. Due to "open mining" they are now flooded with groundwater, the red color is caused by the minerals in the ground. Thanks to Jur Veninga for submitting his pictures.
