Chris Luckhardt is a Canadian photographer, currently calling Toronto home. He is best known for his urban exploration photography from abandoned locations across Canada, United States and, most recently, Japan. Chris covertly explored Japan's abandoned Hashima Island in November 2011. The island also known as the abandoned island in the latest James Bond movie Skyfall. The island, completely abandoned since 1974, is located 15km off the coast of Nagasaki in the East China Sea. Only a handful of people have been able to access the island for the purposes of urban exploration photography. Myself, along with two other explorers and our Japanese guide, were fortunate to be the only people to ever get 8 hours of uninterrupted access to the island. More of Chris?
