My name is Hend AbduAllah, a Yemeni amateur photographer based in Egypt. My passion for photography has been growing inside me since I was little but it didn't come out until 2007 when I started to read more about it. After being in the field for some time now I find myself being drawn into the area of documenting people's lives. I just love shooting portraits. About the photos: The Yemeni Jewish community has diminished throughout the years. Only a couple of hundred are still in Yemen. I got the chance to visit them on one of my journeys in 2010. My visits were really short, I had hoped that I would be able to spend some good quality time with them, but it turned out they were, to some extent, uncomfortable with an outsider. I hope that during my next visit I can get much closer to them so that I can get more spontaneous and interesting shots for their daily life routine. We'd like to thank Hend for sharing her photos. Visit her website for more of her work and if you like the photographer's work please give a comment or a like to show your appreciation.
