Holi Festival of Colours 2013: Mexico

Holi Festival of Colours 2013: Mexico

Last Saturday the first edition of the Holi Festival of Colours in the Americas was celebrated in Mexico. The festival, originally from India, has been touring the world lately. Originally, the festival signifies the victory of good over evil, the arrival of spring, end of winter, and for many a festive day to meet others, play and laugh, forget and forgive, and repair ruptured relationships. Every hour, coloured dust is thrown into the air. The festival has, in recent times, spread in parts of Europe and North Americas as a spring celebration of love, frolic and colors. During the Mexican edition, artists such as Miss Mara, Goldroom, Sander Kleinenberg and Dirty Vegas showed up on stage to entertain the crowd. Thanks to Dynamic Waves the producer of this event and thanks to Dutch Photographer Marc van der Aa for sending us this pictures. Want to see more pictures of Marc? Like his Facebook Page.
