New York City Icon:  Naked Cowboy

New York City Icon:  Naked Cowboy

Robert Burck, better known as the original 'Naked Cowboy,' started performing in Times Square in 1998, and claims to make up to $150,000 a year in tips alone. Burck has turned his success into a franchise and charges other street entertainers $500 a month to perform in his likeness. In 2010, Burck, who is one of the more popular attractions in Times Square, announced his run for the President of the United States. He has also appeared in ad campaigns and has his own record label.
