Rural Abandonments by Chris Luckhardt

Rural Abandonments by Chris Luckhardt

When people hear the term "urban exploration", they usually think of abandoned structures within the confines of concrete urban jungles like Detroit. However, rural areas around the world offer as many (if not more) opportunities for exploring abandonments. Rural areas have become increasingly silent as generation after generation migrate to the urban centers of the world. The structures left behind are now empty, but they retain rich histories awaiting rediscovery by the few who choose to return. Chris Luckhardt is a Canadian photographer, based in Toronto.
