Formula One 2012: Italian Grand Prix

The Italian Grand Prix is held at the world famous Monza circuit. It is narrow and it is fast and for one weekend each year it is occupied by the tifosi, the Ferrari mad Italian fans. The front of the grid wasn't red, but silver, as the McLarens had pole and the second spot on the grid. The Italian favorite, eventhough he is Spanish, had to start several rows back. The race itself was not that exciting at the front. Lewis Hamilton had an easy afternoon and took the win. However, behind him several drivers were left fighting over the scraps Lewis left behind. Button tried but had to retire while driving in second place, Vettel received a drive-through penalty for pushing Alonso off the track and that same Alonso stormed through the field to get to second place only to see Sauber driver Perez take it from him with only laps to go.
