Formula 1 2011: British Grand Prix

After the boring race in Valencia 2 weeks ago the British Grand Prix lived up to the rest of the 2011 Formula One season. It was exciting, dramatic and highly entertaining. The weather conditions once again played their part, with part of the track wet and part of the track dry at the start of the race. It resulted in some brave and daring overtaking throughout the race. In the end Fernando Alonso ended Ferrari's winning drought by taking the chequered flag. Red Bull took up the other two spots on the podium with local favorite Lewis Hamilton coming in an impressive fourth after starting from 10th on the grid.
