New Protests in Arab StatesFeb 17, 2011
The people of Yemen, Bahrain, Libya and even Iran are following in the footsteps of the protests in Tunisia and Egypt. They are taking to the streets to protesat against their respective governments and leaders. many of whom have been in power for years if not decades. The two revolutions in Tunisia and Egypt were successful in removing their oppressive leaders from power, but if this will be the case in Yemen, Bahrain and especially Libya and Iran remains to be seen. The protests seem to be of a different calibre. Not only are anti-government supporters taking to the streets, but they seem to be squaring off to pro-government supporters who have also taken to the streets. We'll follow it closely.
