Un-Be-Lievable. Team GB just keeps on rocking these London Olympics and stealing the limelight from all the other competitors. Yesterday the Brits won 6 gold medals in one day, their best result for over 100 years. The two biggest were those of Jessica Ennis in the women’s heptathlon and the gold Mo Farah won for his win in the 10km race.
Another noteable event of the day was South African athlete Oscar Pistorius taking part in the men’s 400m race. He is the first “handicapped” athelete to take part in an Olympic athletics event. Simply briliant.
My final words for Day 8 belong to Michael Phelps, simply the greatest Olympian that has ever lived. Yesterday he won his 21st medal and it was another gold one. We salute him.
