It was another tough night for all those with an orange heart. The Dutch fans might be lively and crazy and often ridiculous, but they did not have much to cheer once the crucial game against Germany got underway. Sure, the first 20 minutes were okay, passing the ball around, a couple of good goal opportunities, but from then on it was all Germany. Cool, calm and collected they scored two very easy goals. The Dutch coach finally changed his team with two substitutions for the second half, but it didn’t change much in the game play. Robin van Persie gave the Dutch some hope with a fine goal, but it was too little too late. The Dutch now have to hope Germany beat Denmark and they themselves beat Portugal with two clear goals, otherwise it’s Auf Wiedersehen for them and their fans.
